Lancaster City Council consultation pages

Here you can find out about consultations on the new planning policies which are being prepared as part of the district's Local Development Framework and give us your views. We are currently focusing our work on preparing the Development Management Development Plan Document (DPD) and the Land Allocations DPD: These documents will shape the applications that are made for new development proposals and guide where homes, employment land and recreational space will go in the district over the next 15 years.

The consultation on the Draft Land Allocations DPD and Draft Development Management DPD has now closed.

How to get involved

Your views are very important to us and are taken into consideration when we prepare all of our new planning documents. You can provide us with your comments in a number of ways including by:

1. Using this interactive website - to make comments using this website you will need to register your details and then log in. To find out how to use our interactive website please take the site tour and if needed use the help menu (above);

2. You can email us using ldf@lancaster.gov.uk.

When using the interactive website, while you can view the documents on screen, we will normally ask you to register or log in before being able to comment on a document using this website. To register, please click on the 'Register' link within the 'Login' section. Our site tour (top left) will help you find out more about what you can do on this site. If you need help with using these pages, you can either click on the Help button (top right) which will provide you with detailed guidance on how to use our interactive website. When reading through the documents you will see 'Add - View' comment links against various parts of the documents. To add a comment while logged on, click on the 'Add Comment' tab and enter your comments on the form provided. You can then either save or submit by clicking on the relevant buttons or cancel if you do not want to progress with your representation.
